Conference
The workshop "At the Frontiers of Condensed Matter II",
FCM2004, is a follow up of the V LAW3M (Bariloche, 2001) and it
is the second in the series "At the Frontiers of Condensed
Matter" initiated in December 2002 in Buenos Aires. It will be hosted
by the Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica of Argentina
and it is organized thanks to an initiative of Saul Oseroff and with partial
support of the National Science Foundation.
FCM2004 is designed to bring together scientists and engineers
interested in recent developments in all branches of fundamental and applied
magnetism such as thin films, giant magnetoresistance and magnetoimpedance,
nanocrystalline materials, superconducting oxides, magneto-optics.
FCM2004 should provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of
new concepts, properties and developments in materials research and magnetic
applications. Enough time is going to be provided to promote discussions and
collaborations among the different groups.
