SECOND CIRCULAR
March 23, 2005
The SIXTH LATIN AMERICAN SYMPOSIUM ON NUCLEAR PHYSICS AND APPLICATIONS will
take place at Puerto Iguazú, Argentina from October 3 to 7, 2005. This
conference continues with the series initiated in Caracas, Venezuela(1995,
1997), San Andrés, Colombia (1999), Ciudad de México,
Mexico(2001) and Santos, Brazil (2003). The Symposium provides a forum for
the promotion of Nuclear Physics and its Applications among Latin-American
laboratories and the international community. The site of the present edition
is just a few kilometers away from the Iguazú National Park, a natural
wonder of the world where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of 275
thundering waterfalls surrounded by an exuberant tropical forest.
PRE-REGISTRATION: Due to heavy touristic demand at Iguazú and to the
limited availability of accommodation, the organization must have a
consolidated list of attendants to the Symposium as early as possible. Thus,
we strongly recommend to all those who wish to participate in this event to
fill in the on-line PRE-REGISTRATION FORM available at SLAFNAP6 Home Page
before APRIL 15. Participants who pre-register in time will be given priority.
Those colleagues who have already responded by mail to the First Circular
stating their interest and sending their personal data and proposed title of
contribution will be considered as already pre-registered. However, filling
the form at this time in all cases may be helpful and will be very much
appreciated.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND ACCEPTANCE: Authors are invited to submit short
abstracts to any of the Symposium topics before MAY 16. Abstracts in LaTex
format should have a maximum length of approximately one page (no figures).
Detailed instructions are included in the abstracts-submission form that
will become active in the web page in the next few days. Acceptance of the
abstracts and form of presentation will be communicated to authors by JUNE 17
and will be included in a book to be distributed at the beginning of the
Symposium.
